Last week some Stage Two students participated in the Soccer Gala Day in Penrith! Although the day started with a rain shower, it ended with blue skies that matched our high spirits! All students participated with determination, worked as a team and had fun while doing it. We have nearly answered 1 Million questions on IXL this year. With your help we can get there before the holidays. The expectation is that all students in Year 1 - Year 6 spend at least 10 minutes on English and 10 minutes on maths each school day.

🎉 Congratulations to our Stage 3 Girls Soccer Team! ⚽️💪 Our Stage 3 girls put in an incredible performance at the recent Gala Day, going undefeated throughout the tournament! Their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship were on full display as they battled through a highly competitive group. The final result came down to the wire - a tense wait for the outcome of another match to determine the group winner. In a thrilling twist, our girls claimed 1st place on goal difference—a well-deserved victory! We are so proud of their effort, resilience, and the way they represented our school. Well done, girls! 🥇👏 Also a big thank you to all the parents for their support on the day.

IXL Update - The Year 1 - Year 6 students at St Francis are on there way to answering 1 MILLION IXL questions by the end of the term. Help us get there. Aim for a minumum 10 minutes of English questions and 10 minutes of Maths questions every day.

We had our first House Sport Championship game for 2025. This term our sport is Basketball. The year 6 Sports Leaders are running the competition while our Technology Leaders are providing the music and commentary. The games will be held during recess time for the remainder of the term. All students are encouraged to cheer on their team as well as sing and dance to the tunes.

Well done!! to our amazing St Francis of Assisi Cross Country Team representing the school at the Parramatta Diocesan event. Our Athletes showcased amazing perseverance, courage and unwavering spirit through a demanding course with many steep hills in unpredictable weather conditions. We are so proud of their excellent effort and they should be too. Well done to Kobi Jackson, for an outstanding performance setting up a nice pace and kept his momentum up to finish on the podium in the top 8 and represent the school at the Mackillop Cross Country Championships. Also a big thankyou to all the parents for their support and encouragement on the day. Also a big thankyou to Mrs Hakim for your support in escorting the teams to the marshalling area and media footage. Congratulations to the St Francis of Assisi Cross Country team.
